US Authorities Seize 145 Darknet Domains Linked to BidenCash Crypto Operation

U.S. law enforcement has dismantled a significant darknet marketplace, BidenCash, seizing cryptocurrency and approximately 145 domains tied to its operations. The marketplace allegedly trafficked in stolen credit card data and personal information, generating over $17 million in revenue since its inception in 2022.

The coordinated operation involved the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, Dutch National Police, and cybersecurity organizations. BidenCash charged transaction fees for selling compromised credentials, enabling unauthorized access to computers. A seizure notice now appears on its former clearnet and onion domains.

This crackdown highlights ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime involving cryptocurrency. While no specific coins were named in the seizure, the operation underscores the need for robust compliance measures across exchanges handling assets potentially linked to illicit activities.
